Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat for about 1-2 minutes until it shimmers slightly.
  2. Add 1 pound of sliced smoked sausage and cook for approximately 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Incorporate sliced bell pepper and onion into the skillet and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until tender and slightly caramelized.
  4. In a small bowl, combine ¼ cup of brown sugar and 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and mix until well combined.
  5. Stir in 2 cloves of minced garlic and 1 cup of fresh pineapple chunks, then pour the brown sugar sauce over the top.
  6. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring gently until everything is evenly coated and sauce thickens.
