Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Marinate the chicken pieces in a cup of buttermilk for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
  2. Prepare the seasoned flour by combining flour with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, let excess drip off, and dredge each piece in the seasoned flour.
  4. Allow the dredged chicken to rest for about 15 minutes on a wire rack.
  5. Heat the frying oil in a deep pot to a temperature of 350°F - 375°F.
  6. Carefully fry the chicken pieces for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Use a slotted spoon to drain the chicken on paper towels.
