- Marinate the chicken pieces in a cup of buttermilk for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.
- Prepare the seasoned flour by combining flour with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, let excess drip off, and dredge each piece in the seasoned flour.
- Allow the dredged chicken to rest for about 15 minutes on a wire rack.
- Heat the frying oil in a deep pot to a temperature of 350°F - 375°F.
- Carefully fry the chicken pieces for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Use a slotted spoon to drain the chicken on paper towels.
