  • 2 tablespoons Unsalted Butter for spreading on the bread
  • 2 slices Cheddar Cheese for melting
  • 3 slices Deli Ham or Turkey
  • 1 slice Tomato fresh, juicy slices
  • 1 handful Fresh Basil or Spinach Leaves optional
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard for spreading
  • 1 slice Avocado optional
  • to taste Pickles or Jalapeños optional

Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat your skillet over medium heat for about 3 minutes until it shimmers invitingly.
  2. Spread 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter on each outer side of the bread slices.
  3. Generously spread 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard on one side of each slice.
  4. Layer with 2 slices of cheddar cheese, 3 slices of deli ham or turkey, tomato slices, and fresh basil or spinach leaves. Place the second slice of bread on top, mustard side down.
  5. Grill the sandwich for 3-4 minutes per side until golden-brown and cheese is melted, pressing gently with a spatula.
  6. Remove the sandwich and let it rest for about 1 minute before slicing diagonally.
