For the Meatballs
  • 1 lb Ground sausage Any variety like pork, turkey, or chicken
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Plain or seasoned
  • ½ cup Grated Parmesan cheese Optional
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
For the Sauce
  • 1 cup Grape jelly
  • ½ cup Barbecue sauce Pick your favorite brand
For Garnish
  • 1 tablespoon Chopped parsley Optional

Method
 

Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground sausage, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well incorporated.
  3. Shape the mixture into meatballs about one inch in diameter and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs for 15-20 minutes, until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  5. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the grape jelly and barbecue sauce until smooth.
  6. Once baked, transfer the meatballs to a mixing bowl and coat with the warm grape jelly sauce.
  7. Serve the meatballs warm, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
