  • ½ cup honey adds sweetness
  • ¼ cup soy sauce provides umami flavor
  • 2 cloves garlic minced for flavor
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated for warmth
For Thickening
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch to thicken sauce
  • 2 tablespoons water to create slurry
Seasoning
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

  • Sriracha or red pepper flakes for extra kick

Method
 

Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  2. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to form a smooth slurry.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken pieces for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
  4. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the chicken and simmer for about 2 minutes.
  5. Add the cornstarch slurry and stir continuously for 2-3 minutes to thicken.
  6. If desired, add sriracha or red pepper flakes for heat and stir to combine.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with green onions or sesame seeds if desired.
