- In a large mixing bowl, blend together 8 ounces of softened cream cheese, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, 2-3 finely diced jalapeños, and 2-3 chopped green onions until well incorporated.
- Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon each of garlic powder, onion powder, and salt, along with ½ teaspoon of black pepper. Mix thoroughly.
- Scoop out about 1.5 tablespoons of the mixture and roll it into a ball shape. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Cover the baking sheet tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate the cheese balls for at least 60 minutes.
- Set up a breading station with 1 cup of Panko breadcrumbs in a shallow dish.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully add a few cheese balls to the hot oil and fry for 3-5 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove fried cheese balls with a slotted spoon and transfer them to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
