  • 1 cup whole milk for pudding

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, melted butter, eggs, and 1 cup of whole milk. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gently fold in half of the fresh, pitted cherries into the batter.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining cherries on top. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  5. While the cake is baking, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and 1 cup of whole milk in a separate bowl until thickened.
  6. Once the cake has cooled slightly, pour the thick pudding mixture evenly over the top and cut into squares.
