- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
- In a skillet, cook lean ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 5 minutes. Drain excess fat, then stir in garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
- Combine drained spaghetti, marinara sauce, and ground beef mixture in a large bowl. Gradually add reserved pasta water and mix well.
- Grease a baking dish. Layer half of the spaghetti mixture, then sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the top.
- Add remaining spaghetti mixture and top with the rest of the cheese. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
