Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain and reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
  3. In a skillet, cook lean ground beef over medium heat until browned, about 5 minutes. Drain excess fat, then stir in garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
  4. Combine drained spaghetti, marinara sauce, and ground beef mixture in a large bowl. Gradually add reserved pasta water and mix well.
  5. Grease a baking dish. Layer half of the spaghetti mixture, then sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese over the top.
  6. Add remaining spaghetti mixture and top with the rest of the cheese. Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
