Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Brown the beef by heating a skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and brown for about 7-10 minutes until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Sauté the chopped onion, bell peppers, and minced garlic in the same skillet for 5-7 minutes until tender.
  3. Prepare the sauce by stirring in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, and black pepper. Simmer on low for about 10 minutes.
  4. Cook the egg noodles in salted water according to package instructions until al dente, then drain.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Layer half of the meat sauce, half of the cooked pasta, and half of the cheeses in a greased baking dish. Repeat the layers.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is golden.
  7. Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
