Step-by-Step Instructions for Battered Sausage
- Start by removing the 4 large sausages from their packaging. Use a fork to prick each sausage a few times, which helps prevent bursting during cooking.
- In a mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 tablespoon of baking powder, 1 teaspoon of salt, and ½ teaspoon of black pepper. Gradually pour in 1 cup of cold sparkling water while whisking until the batter is smooth.
- In a deep frying pan or pot, pour in enough vegetable oil and heat to about 350°F (175°C). Test the readiness by dropping a small amount of batter into it.
- Carefully dip each pricked sausage into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated, and allow excess batter to drip off.
- Gently place the battered sausages into the hot oil, frying them in batches for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Once they are golden and crispy, carefully remove the battered sausages from the oil using a slotted spoon. Let them drain on paper towels.

Notes
Ensure your oil is at the right temperature for crispy sausages. Store leftovers in an airtight container within 2-3 days for best taste.
